Keeping A Positive Attitude

 When you focus on the good instead of the bad, on the positive instead of the negative, it transforms your heart, mind, and body. Most people don’t realize that illnesses can be the result of negative energy passing through their body. As unbelievable as it sounds, mind over matter is a real concept.

By being a positive person, concentrating on what is right in your life instead of what is wrong, it not only affects your life, but the lives of those around you. You realize that complaining solves nothing, and you choose to use your energy to focus on what can be and needs to be done. If necessary, you will create a new and positive existence for those around you. You will change the rules, go against the norm, showing everyone that the impossible is very possible.

 

Words

 Rarely do people think about how powerful words are. It is important to remember that from the heart, the mouth speaks. What you carry around inside you, whether it is a lot of negativity or positivity, determines your conversation. Words have the power to heal or destroy. When you have positive thoughts, you speak kind and encouraging words. You can make someone’s day better by what you say.

A positive attitude comes from positive thoughts. By speaking with compassion with yourself (yes, you) and others, you can improve your self-esteem and the confidence of those around you. Simply put, you have the power to be happy or unhappy. The decision is yours.

 

Positive Thinking

Keeping a positive attitude doesn’t mean you ignore the challenges in your life, closing your eyes and wishing they would just go away. It means that you approach the conflicts in your life in a productive, positive way. You believe that the best outcome will happen, not the worst.

Positive thinking begins with your thought patterns. If your thoughts are always negative, your outlook on life will be negative as well. You will find joy in absolutely nothing.  Even when there are no difficulties in your life, you will find something wrong and to complain about. With your positive thinking, you are able to bring the good out of people and have a positive impact on the world.

In difficult times, it is easy to think about the negative in your life and not have positive thoughts. But these are the moments when you need to remind yourself that you are the only one that can control your thoughts and perspective. You are the one who has to decide that, regardless of what is going on in your unpredictable life, you are going to seek the positive in every situation, keep hope that your circumstance is going to change for the better, and work endlessly to make everyday a joyful experience.

There are lots of places to see this in action. One place to look is at the wealthy people of this world. They seem to not have a care in the world. But when you read about some of the top earners, such as thinkbeijing.com, you will see that most of these folks started out like you and I. Very normal!

 

Negativity

 In order to keep a positive attitude and live a positive life, you absolutely have to surround yourself with positive people. You can’t be surrounded by negative people who are not encouraging you to live a fulfilled life. This might be hard to do, removing yourself from around individuals who speak and act negative all the time, but it is for your own good.

People who mean you well will encourage you to obtain your goals, regardless of what they are. Instead of belittling you, they let you know that you accomplish anything you want. Being around positive people entices you to becoming a positive person, a beacon of light, in someone else’s life.

Additionally, you have to get rid of negative actions. It will become necessary for you to do a self-examination and explore which of your behaviors are good for you and which ones are not. When you have made a habit of focusing on the negative in your life, instead of the positive, it is going to take a minute to change, but it is possible.

 

Be Nice

 In order to keep a positive attitude and thought process, you need to be positive with others. One way to share your positivity with the world is by being nice. This doesn’t mean just when you feel like it. Even when you are not having a good day, you don’t spread your bad mood, dump your negativity onto someone else. Instead, you make a conscious effort to say or do something pleasant.

It can be as simple as telling someone you wish him or her much peace and blessings, or tell family members or friends how much you love and appreciate them. Do you know that you have the power to make someone’s day with just a word of encouragement? It is hard to be nice to others all the time, but if you get in the habit of doing so, it will become easier and easier as the days go on.

When all you see is the negative in your life, all you see in others is negativity. From this moment on, make a decision that you will no longer be critical and judgmental of others. Tell yourself, “Today, I will strive to be a supportive individual to anyone I meet. I will not only treat others how I would like to be treated, but how they would like to be treated.” Everyone wants to feel inspired and motivated, and the more you show niceness towards others, the more you grow in having a more positive attitude.

 

If you want to bring more positivity into your life, there is no time like the present. You have to remember that the choice is yours to change. The result is you get closer and closer to the happy life you yearn for. Life is too short to be angry and unhappy all the time.

 

Did you know that it takes more energy in being negative than it does in being positive? When you look back on your life’s journey, you don’t want to see any time where you weren’t contributing anything to the earth and the people in it. Instead, you want to see the many times where you inspired and shared your happiness with others, making this world a better place to live.

Getting Through Difficult Times

 If you are living and breathing on this earth, then at some point in your life, you will experience difficult times. Whether it is a physical loss, or an overwhelming sense of sadness, difficulties can leave you feeling anxious, doubtful, and fearful. When you are facing hardships, it is imperative to remember that setbacks are a part of life. Moreover, whether you get through largely depends on your aptitude to persevere without giving up.

 

Attitude is Everything

 When adverse situations arise, you have to keep a positive outlook. One of the best commercials on television is the one in which the little girl with cancer says, “Attitude is everything. You have to fight.” Of course, it is hard to be happy when you feel like your life is falling apart. But you have to remember that these times will not last forever. And, most importantly, difficulties make us stronger, able to deal with hard times when they come around again.

 

Growth Opportunity

 Personal struggles are the best opportunities for personal growth. It is hard to see the positive when you don’t know the outcome. However, these are the times when you discover your inner strength and find out what you are made of.

When you are surrounded by problems, you are given a chance to come up with creative solutions, some that might put you out of your comfort zone. This might be hard to believe, but getting creative in finding a solution to your situation could lead you to circumstances that you would not have ordinarily even contemplated, such as a new city or a new career. Changing old habits or thought patterns aren’t easy, which is why there are plenty of people living lives that produces no growth.

It is easy to be complacent when everything is going good in your life. Why wouldn’t you feel great when everything is falling into place the way you want it? But it is the bad times that allow us to see how knowledgeable and skillful we can be. When trouble is on the horizon, you want it to just go away. In reality, this doesn’t happen.

You might not believe this, but hard times are necessary in your life for you to grow as a human being. Difficulties don’t last forever, and the strength and lessons you gain from them lasts a lifetime. So, when you find yourself up against the wall again, you won’t be so easily shattered.

 

Attendance is Required

 When you feel depressed from your troubles, the normal reaction is to hide away from the world and everyone. As cliché as it sounds, you have to hang in there, believing that this too shall pass. The time you spend in sorrow could be used more positively. You might not be in control of your circumstances at all times, but you are in control of your emotions. All of the advice in the world will not mean anything until you decide to heed it, stand up, and fight.

 

Fight for Your Dreams

When situations are not going as planned, this is not the time to throw in the towel. Think of your dream as being similar to breathing. Once you give up, there is nothing left. This is the last thing you want to happen in your life. When you have hope, you still have a fighting chance.

 

Changes

Getting through your difficult phase may mean re-grouping and making some changes. If you find yourself in the same situation over and over again, the message here is that what you have come to perceive as “normal” or “just the way it is” isn’t working anymore. When you come to the point that you are ready to make some changes in your life, you should high-five yourself for having the courage to do it. Do you realize that there are a lot of people who never make it to this point?

It is going to be a little scary, but if you have the courage to make some positive changes in your life, then you have the inner strength to see them through. You have to remember that everything takes time. So, have patience and give yourself time to adjust. Your inner voice is never wrong.

For example, moving to a new city or starting a new career can be scary and unsettling. You might have some rough patches and doubt if you’ve made the right choice. But if changing wasn’t right for you, your instincts would have told you so. As the saying goes, keep on keeping on. Remember, no rain, no rainbow. You want to make sure you are living a life that you can look back on and be proud of with no regrets.

 

Rise Up

Difficult times are real, but they are never permanent. Hardships don’t define who we are, but what we are made of. Whether you consider challenges as difficulties or opportunities says more about you than the challenge itself. The way you choose to see and think about your life is the way it will be. Life is what you choose to make it. Therefore, there is no room for negativity if you want a promising, fulfilled life.

When difficult times come, meet them head-on. If you never stand up and fight, you will never find out how truly tall you are. Even though you don’t feel like it, it is imperative to rise up to face every difficulty that comes into your life. There is no better way to add insight and wisdom to your life. You can get all the good advice in the world from friends, family, and motivational articles. Ultimately, it is up to you what to do with it.

 

Just remember, every second of your life you spend drowning in self-doubt and sorrow, is time you can never get back. The quality of your existence on this earth is made up entirely of your actions, thoughts, and choices. It is your decision to either save yourself or remain in the darkness.
