There is a proverb that says ‘the best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago.  The second best time is now.’

This is me.

I have had the same interest on making money and living and being financially free. My entire life, I have searched and tried, and taken so many paths to financial freedom that most would have thrown the towel in.

Now if you added up all the money that I have spent in search of that financial freedom and that lifestyle that so many of us dream about, well, I would be a lot wealthier than I am today.

But you know what they say –  Better late than never!

I have worked at some type of job since I was 14 years old and the best thing I can commend myself on is the wonderful fact that I have never had (serious) consumer debt.  In fact, up until about 2 years ago (2013) I didn’t have any real credit to speak of.

I was always taught that if you wanted something, you saved for it and you paid cash. Well, that was the way it was in my mom’s day, but now???? No no no! We are becoming a cashless society and you have to have credit in order to get or obtain pretty much anything.

Oh sure, there are still the mattress and freezer money keepers, but those folks are usually much older and everything is paid for anyway.

I have always had an interest in money, honestly who doesn’t, but didn’t know anything about it.  I knew that I wanted to maintain the status of being debt free but I wanted more than that.

During one of my MANY MLM meetings that I attended over the course of the years, I heard a speaker describe ‘financial freedom’ and THAT my friends, is what I truly wanted to be!!!

You see, financial freedom and debt free are similar but very different indeed.

We kow that debt free is not owing anyone and that is a great place for anyone to be. But most people actually consider themselves debt free even if they still have a mortgage or a car loan. I do not consider that debt free.

To me, debt free is when you are completely free of any debt and you owe no one. Everything you own is YOURS. No one can repossess it, no one can take it away, it is yours!

Now financial freedom – oh let me tell you the simplistic beauty of what financial freedom mean.

Financial freedom is the freedom to write a check for anything you want without looking at your bank account to see if you have the funds to cover it.

Now don’t get all technical on me – I am not talking about buying a small island or a private jet, although, there are some that do have the capability of doing that. No, I am talking about being financially free to go and buy a car if you want. Or take a last minute vacation, just because. Being able to do and go anywhere you want.

I have recently joined up with a couple of guys that are, in my humble opinion, pure geniuses! I am not going to get too much into it now because I am still learning and working out all the details.

I will give you a little teaser though. The coaching program that they sold to me was over $3,000. OUCH!!! Right?!?!

Well, I have already made that back and then quite a bit more.

Needless to say, I am building my future and I am working on my own financial freedom.

I would be honored for you to come along with me.

I am not a guru, not trying to sell you anything. I am a 40 something year young lady that wants to share my journey on finding the Simple Rich Life that so many of us chase after.

I am a long way from financial freedom but hey I now have a clear goal in my mind –  to achieve financial freedom.  Now I need to figure out how to get there.

Simple:

Enjoy a simple minimalist life!  I have enough stuff as it is.  I don’t think that I am a hoarder, although my husband was thinking that I was borderline. My basic needs are met.

Rich:  $$$

Self Explanatory.

Living:  Balance

Stay healthy, stay fit, have fun, spend time with family and friends, try new things, read a book, relax a little, go out, see the world – all the things you dream of doing.
